currently, mrs. grossmann is spending her first days with the advertising gifts team. in the future, she will support the sales team with the main focus on telephone consultation, and also function as a link between prospective customers, clients, and sales team. her long-time experience in the field of advertising gifts was one determining factor.

 
this time, it was very difficult to select a new member. many adequate canditates applied for this job, almost 50 alltogether. we would like to thank all applicants for their application.

german football league: leverkusen still unbeaten and ahead of the strongly advancing bavarian football team

despite two very weak guessing weekends, the cocos team continues to be on top of the trade journal teamranking with a comfortable margin. but now it is time to take the next step after winter break, and to maybe extend our lead. the field behind has moved tightly together.

the internal match also has heated up, after the cocos-network technician dared to pass the flagging boss for the first time, despite massive threats. only the lady of the team still is unchallenged on top, currently position 12 of the overall standings. this still means a closeness to the group of the first five, and therefore reasonable hope to gain a price...

team cocos still ahead

14 matchdays have already passed in the german soccer league. for the fith time in a row, the cocos advertising gifts-team defends position 1 (3935 punkte) at the german league guessing game of the trade journal.

the cocos-team currently leads by 216 points ahead of the bergmann borsig team (3709) on position 2. the 14th matchday was quite a day. many unexpected results on saturday stirred up the ranking from 2 to 10. the blutgrätsche-team (3583) had a fantastic day. they made it to position 3 at first go. still advancing is the team of the ksc ole. yet, the team rEd fAmiLy (5.), which was leading for quite some time, is slipping, and isn't making any progress for the past 4 to 5 matchdays.

the single positions of the cocos-team are still stable. 16, 98, 201 and 210 amongst 4408 participants. even with the tendency-points, we made the top 40 twice (27th/32th). alltogether, these strong results add to the lead of our team. but it won't be possible without hitting it big.

the air is thin, the fight is hard - the cocos-team is looking forward to the next matchday and would like to defend its position til after winter break. it's a pitty, you can't win a price...

intel, the largest manufacturer of chip sets and processors, won't implement the new usb 3.0 into the own production. the market launch of mainboards with integrated usb 3.0 controllers on the chip sets won't happen before 2011.

due to the very high market share of intel, the mass-market has to wait a good 2 years for the advantages of usb 3.0. whoever wants to use usb 3.0 sooner, has to rely on other manufacturers like f.ex. nvidia, which will already establish the new standard beginning of 2010.

first devices with usb 3.0 interface are expected to enter the market already at the end of 2009. during december, supertalent wants to deliver an usb-stick with usb 3.0, freecom already starts with its hard drive in november "hard drive xs 3.0".

the most important advantages of the new usb-generation are a maximum transfer rate of up to 4.8 gbit/s (ten times faster than the previous usb 2.0) and an improved power management. the transfer management was worked on and improved, too. usb 3.0 will be completely backwards compatible to versions 2.0 and 1.1.

11. matchday of the german football league... what has this got to do with cocos? cocos registered a football enthusiastic team for the german football league guessing game of the trade journal.

after moderate guessing results in the beginning, the cocos team started to work its way up continously, from position 150 to currently: position 1 - yeaahhh!!

it is now necessary to maintain our leading position every week. after all, between four and five thousand participants fight for this position. on fridays, matches are now analysed in a competent manner, possibilities and eventualities are discussed.

with our current single positions 11, 22 and 85 we are three times present in the top 100 ranking. highlight was the victory on the 8th matchday, which also brought us forward in the team ranking. a motivating effect is also created through internal matches with small bets...
